Javier Gutierrez Obituary, Death News – A 23-year-old man who died in a two-vehicle crash in Sun Valley has been identified as Javier Gutierrez, according to the Los Angeles County Office of Medical Examiner.
The crash occurred Tuesday evening around 6:55 p.m. in the 6700 block of Lankershim Boulevard, just north of the Golden State (5) Freeway. Officers from the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) responded to the scene after receiving reports of a collision.
According to LAPD Officer Charles Miller, Gutierrez was traveling north on Lankershim Boulevard when he collided with another vehicle driven by a 36-year-old motorist heading south. The impact was severe, and Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics pronounced Gutierrez dead at the scene.
Officials have not yet determined what caused the crash, and an investigation remains ongoing.
