Javier Gutierrez Obituary, Death – A 23-year-old man lost his life in a high-speed, multi-vehicle collision in Sun Valley on Tuesday evening, according to authorities.

The crash, which occurred just before 7 p.m. on Lankershim Boulevard, north of the 5 Freeway, was captured on surveillance footage. The video shows a silver Chevy Camaro traveling northbound when the driver lost control, veering into the path of a southbound box truck. The collision caused both vehicles to crash into several parked cars nearby.

The driver of the Camaro, identified as Javier Gutierrez, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators believe speed may have contributed to the accident, though the case remains under investigation.
