Ian Harvey Obituary, Death – A 25-year-old East Peoria man was killed in a motorcycle crash late Saturday night in Central Peoria, according to the Peoria County Coroner’s Office. The victim, identified as Ian Harvey, suffered multiple blunt-force trauma injuries and likely died instantly, Coroner Jamie Harwood stated.

The fatal collision occurred at 9:35 p.m. when a juvenile driver, who did not have a license, allegedly ran a stop sign and struck Harvey’s motorcycle. Following the impact, Harvey was thrown from his bike and was subsequently hit by another car traveling behind him, which resulted in his death, according to an Illinois State Police spokesperson.

Authorities noted that Harvey was wearing full protective gear, including a helmet, at the time of the crash. Despite the precautions, the severity of the impact proved fatal.

The investigation into the incident is ongoing, and officials have not released additional details as of Monday afternoon. It remains unclear whether the juvenile driver will face any charges or citations in Peoria County Circuit Court. Due to the driver’s age, authorities have not disclosed his identity.
