Grant Siefert Obituary, Death – Glendale police have identified a body discovered last week as that of 30-year-old Grant Siefert, a Phoenix man reported missing the day before his death. Authorities are treating his case as a homicide.
Siefert’s body was found on Nov. 11 in a water retention area near 55th and Peoria avenues after police received a report just before 8 a.m. Investigators believe he arrived in the area around 1 a.m. prior to his death.
Siefert had been missing for over 24 hours, with family members reporting him last seen near 19th Avenue and Bethany Home Road. According to a missing persons flyer, an unidentified individual was believed to have possession of Siefert’s cell phone during his disappearance.
Police suspect that the person or persons involved in Siefert’s death may have also taken his vehicle, a black 2011 Ford Escape with a temporary Arizona license plate reading “392635U.”
Authorities urge anyone with information regarding Siefert’s death or the whereabouts of his vehicle to contact Glendale Police at 623-930-3000. The investigation remains ongoing.
