Graciela Rodriguez Urena Obituary, Death – A tragic single-car crash in Madera County claimed the life of 29-year-old Graciela Rodriguez Urena, authorities confirmed. The accident occurred just before 12:30 p.m. on Monday near Avenue 17 and Road 28 1/2.
According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), Urena was driving with her baby boy secured in the backseat when the vehicle suddenly veered off the road. The car crashed into a barbed wire fence before colliding with a wooden post. The impact caused the post to pierce through the windshield, fatally striking Urena.
Emergency responders arrived at the scene and transported the baby to Valley Children’s Hospital as a precautionary measure. Fortunately, there were no immediate reports of injuries to the child.
At the time of the accident, the region was experiencing rain, though investigators have yet to determine whether weather conditions played a role in the crash. The CHP continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.
