Tony Darrell Volley Obituary, Death – A man who died in a single-vehicle crash in Henrico County has been identified as 46-year-old Tony Darrell Volley, according to the Henrico County Police Division. The incident occurred on the evening of Monday, July 28, around 6:30 p.m. Police officers were dispatched to the intersection of Hungary Spring Road and Staples Mill Road following reports of a crash involving a single vehicle. Upon arrival, authorities discovered that a car had collided with multiple power poles, and the driver—identified as Volley—had died at the scene.

According to the initial investigation, Volley had been driving north on Hungary Spring Road at a high rate of speed when he lost control of his vehicle. As a result, the car struck several utility poles along the roadway. No other vehicles or individuals were involved in the incident, and Volley was the sole occupant of the vehicle.

Authorities are looking into the possibility that a medical emergency may have contributed to the crash. However, the exact cause and manner of death remain undetermined. The Henrico County Police are working closely with the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, who will conduct an autopsy to clarify whether a medical condition played a role in the collision.

The crash left damage to utility infrastructure, although no additional injuries were reported at the scene. Investigators are continuing to gather information to better understand the circumstances leading up to the fatal crash.
