Emily Newman Obituary, Death – A 71-year-old woman from Greenville, Mississippi, tragically lost her life in a crash that occurred in Calhoun County on Tuesday afternoon, December 17. The Mississippi Highway Patrol (MHP) confirmed that the victim was Emily Newman.

The accident took place on Highway 9 North. According to MHP Senior Staff Sgt. Derrick Beckom, Newman’s pickup truck veered off the road and collided with a tree. Sadly, she died at the scene due to the severity of the crash.

Authorities are continuing to investigate the cause of the incident.
