Eric Taylor Obituary, Death – A 14-year-old boy, Eric Taylor, lost his life in a shooting on Friday night, as confirmed by Baton Rouge police. The incident occurred around 8 p.m. in the 3300 block of Plant Road near Winbourne Avenue.
According to authorities, Taylor was walking in the area when a vehicle approached. An individual inside the vehicle fired multiple shots, striking Taylor. Emergency responders transported him to a hospital, but despite medical efforts, Taylor succumbed to his injuries a few hours later.
As of Saturday, investigators have not identified any suspects or determined a motive for the shooting. The Baton Rouge Police Department continues its investigation and urges anyone with information to come forward. Tips can be provided anonymously through Crime Stoppers by calling 344-STOP.
