Eric Kott Obituary, Death: Coroner Identifies 75-Year-Old Man Killed in I-94 Crash
Eric Kott Obituary, Death – A 75-year-old man who died in a two-vehicle crash on Interstate 94 near Route 21 in Gurnee has been identified as Eric Kott from Oak Creek, Wisconsin. The fatal collision took place on Friday afternoon at approximately 2:30 p.m., when Kott was driving a gray Dodge Ram.
According to the Lake County Coroner’s Office, Kott died from blunt force injuries to his head as a result of the crash. Preliminary reports state that Kott was driving his Dodge Ram when he attempted to change lanes and struck the side of a semi-truck that was hauling a trailer. After the impact, the Dodge veered off the roadway, climbed an embankment, and then rolled over.
The collision caused Kott to be partially ejected from the vehicle. Despite efforts to provide assistance, he was pronounced dead at the scene. Illinois State Police are currently investigating the crash.
