Elizabeth L. Brown Obituary, Death News – A fatal crash in Abbeville County early Friday morning claimed the life of a passenger, now identified as 38-year-old Elizabeth L. Brown, according to the Abbeville County Coroner’s Office.
The accident occurred around 2:20 a.m. on Maddox Bridge Road near SC 252. According to the South Carolina Highway Patrol, a 2007 Dodge pickup truck was traveling north when it veered off the left side of the road and collided with a bridge.
Emergency responders, including Abbeville County EMS, the Abbeville County Fire Department, and the Abbeville County Sheriff’s Office, arrived at the scene. Troopers reported that the driver was injured and transported to a hospital, while Brown, who was a passenger in the vehicle, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Abbeville County Coroner’s Office is continuing its investigation into the crash.
