Edward Spears Obituary, Death – Authorities have identified the driver who was killed in a head-on collision in the Florence area over the weekend.

Crash Details

According to the South Carolina Highway Patrol, the fatal crash occurred early Sunday morning around 6:40 a.m. on Highway 52 near Clement Street. The collision involved a 2001 Ford Mustang and a 2008 Lexus LS 460.

Lance Cpl. Lena Butler reported that the two vehicles crashed head-on, resulting in the death of the Ford Mustang’s driver at the scene. The driver of the Lexus sustained injuries and was transported to a hospital for treatment.

Victim Identified

The Florence County Coroner’s Office later confirmed that the deceased driver was Edward Spears, a resident of Florence.
