Earnest Ashley Jr Obituary, Death – Earnest Ashley Jr., a 44-year-old Everett resident, was identified as the man killed in a car crash in Lake Stevens on November 13, according to the Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office. The cause of death was determined to be blunt force injuries sustained during the incident.
The crash occurred at approximately 8:51 p.m. as Ashley was driving a Honda sedan eastbound on Highway 204. According to the Lake Stevens Police Department, Ashley drove through a red light at the intersection of 91st Avenue NE before colliding with a light pole. The impact of the crash was fatal, and Ashley was pronounced dead at the scene.
A male passenger in the vehicle survived the crash and was transported to a nearby hospital with injuries that were described as non-life-threatening, authorities reported.
As of Tuesday morning, Deputy Police Chief Jeff Young stated there were no new updates regarding the investigation into the incident. The Lake Stevens Police Department continues to examine the circumstances surrounding the fatal crash.
