Dylan M. Hartman Obituary, Death Cause – Virginia State Police are investigating a deadly two-vehicle crash that took place Monday afternoon in Rockingham County. According to a report from VSP, the collision occurred around 2:30 p.m. on Fox Mountain Road. The crash involved a southbound Chevrolet Cobalt sedan and a northbound Chevrolet flatbed truck. Authorities said the vehicles collided head-on.
The driver of the sedan, identified as 22-year-old Dylan M. Hartman from Elkton, was pronounced dead at the scene. Two other people who were in the sedan with Hartman suffered serious injuries in the crash. Emergency crews transported both passengers to the UVA Medical Center for treatment.
The driver of the Chevrolet flatbed truck was also seriously injured and taken to a nearby hospital for care. Authorities have not released that driver’s identity as the investigation is still ongoing.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation as Virginia State Police continue to gather evidence and review details from the scene. No further information about what led to the head-on impact or the conditions of those injured has been shared at this time.
