Dorothy I. Desbiens Obituary, Death – A fatal crash occurred Thursday evening when an 86-year-old woman’s car left the road, crossed into oncoming traffic, and collided with multiple vehicles. The Lehigh County Coroner’s Office has identified the deceased as Dorothy I. Desbiens, a resident of Middle Smithfield Township. She was pronounced dead shortly after 5:50 p.m. at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Muhlenberg in Bethlehem. The cause of death was determined to be multiple blunt force injuries from the crash, and her death was ruled accidental by Lehigh County Coroner Daniel A. Buglio.

The Pennsylvania State Police in Stroudsburg reported that the incident took place just after 5 p.m. on Resica Fall Road in Middle Smithfield, specifically in the 400 block. The exact details of how the crash unfolded have not been fully disclosed, but it is clear that Desbiens’ vehicle went off the road and into the opposite lane, striking several other vehicles.
