Devante Edwards Obituary, Death – The Lubbock Police Department has identified the victim of a fatal shooting that occurred Thursday night in west Lubbock. The victim, 25-year-old Devante Edwards, was found at a residence on the 61100 block of 26th Street, where officers responded to a report of gunshots around 11:04 p.m.
When officers arrived at the scene, they discovered Edwards suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Despite efforts to provide medical assistance, Edwards was pronounced dead at the scene.
As of Friday morning, no arrests had been made, and the investigation into the shooting remains ongoing. The Lubbock Police Department is working in collaboration with the Lubbock County Texas Anti-Gang Unit to gather information and determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
