Derrel Brooks Obituary, Death – A fatal three-vehicle crash on Troy Highway claimed the life of a Pike Road man, according to Montgomery police.
Sgt. Tina McGriff reported that the accident occurred around 6:23 p.m. in the 4200 block of Troy Highway, near Green Thumb Nursery. The victim was identified as 44-year-old Derrel Brooks, who was driving a pickup truck at the time of the collision.
Authorities stated that the driver of another vehicle, a heavy-duty pickup truck, sustained minor injuries and was transported to a hospital for treatment. A third vehicle, a small SUV, was also involved in the crash. Both its driver and a passenger suffered minor injuries and were taken to a medical facility.
Police have not yet determined the cause of the accident, and an investigation is ongoing.
