Dennis Penner, Daniel Trapp Obituary, Death News – Two men who drowned at Millerton Lake on Friday have been identified by the Fresno County Coroner’s Office.
Authorities confirmed the victims as 83-year-old Dennis Penner of Madera and 81-year-old Daniel Trapp of Fresno.
The incident occurred around 9:45 a.m. when officials at Millerton Lake were alerted to a fishing boat in the Sky Harbor channel. Witnesses reported seeing two people in the water, suggesting they may have been thrown from the boat as it continued to rotate.
A park ranger quickly responded and pulled both men from the water. CPR was administered, but despite efforts to save them, Penner and Trapp were pronounced dead at the scene.
The circumstances surrounding the accident remain under investigation, and no further details have been released at this time.
