Delfino Navarro Obituary, Death – A three-vehicle collision near Mulino in Clackamas County on Wednesday evening left one driver dead and another hospitalized. The crash occurred shortly after 5 p.m. on Highway 213 near milepost 10.5, according to Oregon State Police.
Authorities reported that a Mazda traveling southbound veered into the northbound lanes while navigating a curve. The Mazda collided with a pickup traveling in the opposite direction. The force of the collision pushed the pickup into the southbound lane, where it struck an SUV head-on.
The driver of the Mazda, 54-year-old Delfino Navarro, was critically injured and airlifted to a hospital. Tragically, he succumbed to his injuries. Investigators noted that Navarro may have been involved in a driving complaint received just minutes before the crash.
The SUV driver sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was hospitalized. The driver of the pickup was uninjured, and no other injuries were reported.
The investigation into the circumstances of the crash is ongoing.
