Deanna L. Hess, Lisa L. Stevenson Obituary, Death – Two Kansas women lost their lives in a tragic car crash on Sunday evening in Clay County. The accident occurred around 5:30 p.m. on Kansas Highway 15 (K-15), according to the Kansas Highway Patrol.
The collision involved two vehicles, a Chevy Malibu and a Chevy Impala. Authorities reported that the Malibu, traveling southbound, crossed the center line and collided with the driver’s side of the Impala. The impact resulted in fatal injuries to both drivers.
The victims were identified as 56-year-old Deanna L. Hess from Clay Center and 53-year-old Lisa L. Stevenson from Salina. Both women were pronounced dead at the scene.
In addition to the fatalities, a 13-year-old passenger in Stevenson’s Impala sustained serious injuries. Emergency responders transported the teenager to Salina Regional Health Center for medical treatment.
The cause of the crash has not been disclosed, and investigations are ongoing.
