Dayla Swain Obituary, Death News – Dayla Swaiand subsequent crash outside an Anderson nightclub early Sunday morning led to the death of a 26-year-old woman and injuries to two others. The woman, later identified by the Marion County coroner as Dayla Swain, was killed in the incident.
The Anderson Police Department responded to the scene at Sonny Ray’s nightclub, located at 1536 S. Madison Ave., around 3 a.m. on Sunday. Upon arrival, officers discovered that gunshots had been fired outside the establishment, striking at least two women. A third woman was injured when she was hit by a vehicle during the aftermath of the shooting.
Dayla Swain, who had been shot, was found lying in the roadway, while the second victim was located in front of a nearby house. Swain was immediately transported to an Indianapolis hospital for treatment but tragically passed away from her injuries. The second woman, also injured by the gunfire, was taken to a local hospital for care. The third victim, who was struck by a car, managed to check herself into a nearby hospital.
The incident has left the Anderson community in shock, and as of now, no arrests have been made. The Anderson Police Department is continuing its investigation and has stated that additional details will be provided as they become available.
