The vehicle subsequently collided with a barrier on the east shoulder of North Avenue, causing significant damage.
The driver of the vehicle was transported to Vassar Brothers Medical Center with serious injuries. Meanwhile, the passenger, 53-year-old Dawn Pociask of Hyde Park, sustained critical injuries and was taken to Mid-Hudson Regional Hospital. Tragically, she was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.
