Daniel Miller Death News: Butte County authorities identify skateboarder killed in accident.
Daniel Miller Death News – Butte County Sheriff’s Office (BCSO) has identified the skateboarder killed in a recent crash in Chico as 39-year-old Daniel Miller. The incident occurred early on Thursday, January 9, at the intersection of Esplanade and Mission Ranch Boulevard. Chico Police Department officers responded to the scene at 2:07 a.m. and found Miller in the roadway with severe injuries. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver involved in the crash, a 21-year-old Chico resident, stayed at the site and cooperated with the investigation. Preliminary findings from Chico Police suggest that Miller was skateboarding in the middle of the road when the accident happened.
The collision is still under investigation by the Chico Police Major Accident Investigation Team and the Butte County Sheriff’s Office. Authorities urge anyone who witnessed the incident to contact the Chico Police Traffic Division at (530) 897-4970.
