Daniel Clay Clinard Obituary, Death – The Winston-Salem Police Department is investigating a deadly motorcycle crash that took place at the intersection of South Main Street and Konnoak Drive.

The collision occurred around 8:29 p.m. on Friday evening. According to police reports, a 1998 Ford Econoline van, driven by a 42-year-old man, was heading northbound on South Main Street. At the same time, 35-year-old Daniel Clay Clinard was riding a 2024 Harley-Davidson motorcycle southbound on the same road.

The crash happened when the van attempted to make a left turn onto Konnoak Drive, directly into the path of Clinard’s oncoming motorcycle. The impact was severe, and Clinard was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the Ford van sustained only minor injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.

Authorities have not released the identity of the van driver at this time. The Winston-Salem Police Department’s Traffic Enforcement Unit is continuing to investigate the incident to determine the exact cause and whether any charges will be filed.

As of now, no further details about the crash have been made public.
