Dale Anthony Lauzon: Tucson crash on Aviation Parkway results in pedestrian death.

A fatal pedestrian accident occurred on the night of February 5, when a 57-year-old man was struck by a vehicle in Tucson. The Tucson Police Department (TPD) confirmed that the incident took place on the 800 block of East Aviation Highway. The man, identified as Dale Anthony Lauzon, was declared dead at the scene by emergency responders.
According to the police, their investigation revealed that Lauzon was likely not walking but instead was in a crouched position when the collision happened. He was found on the westbound lanes of East Aviation Highway when a blue 2018 Kia Soul struck him. Investigators noted that the area along the road is equipped with fencing designed to prevent pedestrians from walking in that area, and the streetlights in the vicinity were functioning at the time of the accident.
A police officer from the DUI Unit arrived at the scene to assess whether alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash. After conducting their examination, the officer concluded that the driver of the Kia Soul was not impaired. The investigation continues as authorities work to gather more information about the circumstances surrounding the fatal incident.
