Daisy Valenzuela Vines Obituary, Death – The Pigeon Forge Police Department reported that a woman who was struck by a vehicle on Friday has passed away. The incident occurred around 6 p.m. when 58-year-old Daisy Valenzuela Vines, from Ooltewah, was hit while crossing Dollywood Lane at the intersection with U.S. 441. Following the collision, she was airlifted to the University of Tennessee Medical Center, where she later succumbed to her injuries.
The driver involved in the crash was identified as 18-year-old Bryson Cooper from Kodak. Cooper remained at the scene and cooperated fully with law enforcement officials. Chief Richard Catlett of the Pigeon Forge Police Department stated that the investigation into the crash is still ongoing and is expected to be concluded by Wednesday. Once the investigation is complete, the findings will be submitted to the District Attorney’s Office for further review.
Chief Catlett expressed his condolences, saying, “Our thoughts and prayers go out to all of those affected by this tragic accident.” The police department is continuing to gather information to determine the exact circumstances that led to the tragic event.
