Corbin Scott Cornett Obituary, Death – An 18-year-old man who was fatally shot south of downtown Fort Wayne on Saturday has been identified. The Allen County Coroner’s Office confirmed the identity of the victim as Corbin Scott Cornett from Fort Wayne. The coroner ruled his death a homicide.
The Fort Wayne Police Department responded to a shooting incident just after midnight on Saturday. Officers arrived at a residence in the 1000 block of Huestis Avenue, located off Broadway, where they found Cornett suffering from gunshot wounds. Medics who arrived on the scene pronounced him dead.
The coroner’s office determined that Cornett died as a result of multiple gunshot wounds. No additional details about the shooting, including any information about a suspect, have been released to the public at this time.
