Clarence Thomas Bibbins Obituary, Death – The Milwaukee County Medical Examiner identified 60-year-old Clarence Thomas Bibbins as the man killed in a crash with a car involved in a police chase. Bibbins, from Milwaukee, was declared dead at the scene after his vehicle was struck at an estimated 80 mph by a driver fleeing police, according to the medical examiner’s report. The collision happened at an intersection with a stop sign where Bibbins’ car was hit from the side (T-boned) by the speeding vehicle.

The incident began around 5:40 p.m. when Milwaukee police pursued a car that had been reported stolen during an armed robbery. The chase started near North 17th and West Galena streets, spanning just three blocks before ending in the fatal collision. Bibbins was driving south on North 20th Street, crossing an intersection when the suspect’s vehicle, heading west on Galena, crashed into his Pontiac Torrent.

Police apprehended an 18-year-old driver and a 14-year-old passenger from the fleeing car, both of whom suffered serious injuries and were taken to the hospital. According to Milwaukee police, 59 people have lost their lives in traffic crashes in the city so far this year, while last year saw 76 fatalities.
