Ciauta Dunbar Obituary, Death – A shooting at a local club in Richland County on Sunday night has claimed the life of a 21-year-old woman, according to the Richland County Coroner’s Office. Coroner Naida Rutherford identified the deceased as Ciauta Dunbar. Authorities responded to reports of a disturbance at the club and discovered two individuals suffering from gunshot wounds. Immediate lifesaving measures were taken at the scene.
Richland County Sheriff Leon Lott stated that Dunbar was fatally shot while attempting to intervene during a fight. She was struck in the upper body and succumbed to her injuries on-site.
The second victim, who also sustained a gunshot wound to the upper body, was reported to be conscious and alert following the incident. The case is under investigation as officials work to determine the events that led to the fatal altercation. Further details have not been released.
