Celeo Avalid Chirino Obituary, Death: Authorities Identify Victim in Fatal South Charlotte Crash
Celeo Avalid Chirino Obituary, Death – The victim of a fatal accident in south Charlotte over the weekend has been identified as 20-year-old Celeo Avalid Chirino. The tragic incident occurred early Sunday morning, November 10th, in the 6600 block of South Boulevard.
According to emergency responders, when they arrived at the scene around 1 a.m., they found a Toyota Scion engulfed in flames in the middle of the road. Two juveniles were discovered outside of the vehicle, both injured. Emergency medical services (MEDIC) transported them to a hospital for treatment. Unfortunately, Chirino, the driver of the car, was found dead at the scene.
Initial investigations indicate that the vehicle crossed into the opposite lane of South Boulevard, struck a median, and subsequently caught fire. Police suspect that excessive speed and alcohol may have played a role in the crash, though the investigation is ongoing.
