Carolyn C. Cason, Alyssa M. Taylor Obituary, Death – Two women lost their lives in a tragic and fiery head-on collision that took place in Autauga County, Alabama. Authorities with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) have identified the victims as 78-year-old Carolyn C. Cason of Prattville and 30-year-old Alyssa M. Taylor of Selma. The devastating crash occurred on the evening of Thursday, at approximately 7:41 p.m., on Alabama Highway 14, about nine miles west of Prattville.

According to ALEA spokesperson Lt. Jeremy Burkett, Cason was driving a Lincoln Aviator SUV traveling along Alabama 14 when, for reasons yet to be determined, her vehicle collided head-on with a Ford Fusion driven by Taylor. The force of the impact was so severe that it caused both vehicles to leave the roadway.

After veering off the highway, both the Lincoln Aviator and the Ford Fusion became engulfed in flames, making the crash even more catastrophic. Emergency responders arrived at the scene shortly after the accident was reported, but sadly, both drivers were pronounced dead at the scene due to the injuries sustained in the collision.

The violent nature of the crash, combined with the fire that consumed both vehicles, left little chance for survival for either of the women involved. The tragic loss of life has left the communities of Prattville and Selma mourning the untimely deaths of Cason and Taylor.
