Bruce St. John Obituary, Death – A tragic accident in Emporia is under investigation following a collision that resulted in one fatality and left three others injured, including a juvenile. According to police, the crash happened when an 18-wheeler, driven by 27-year-old Barret Moss Johnson, attempted a turn onto Route 58 and collided with an eastbound car carrying four family members.
The car’s driver, 18-year-old Brendon St. John, sustained critical injuries and had to be extricated by emergency crews before being airlifted to VCU Medical Center. His 18-year-old passenger, Bradley St. John, along with a juvenile, were also injured and taken to a hospital. Unfortunately, 40-year-old Bruce St. John, a rear passenger, was declared dead at the scene.
The truck driver has been charged with reckless driving, with additional charges possible as the investigation proceeds.
