DPS spokesperson Sergeant Steven Blanco reported that the collision occurred at approximately 6:15 a.m. at the intersection of South County Road 1110 and West County Road 173.
Preliminary findings indicate that 55-year-old Brock D. Davidson of St. Johns, Florida, was driving a 2025 Chevrolet Silverado southbound on County Road 1110. At the same time, 48-year-old Homar Hernandez of Eagle Pass was driving a 2016 Ford F-350 eastbound on County Road 173.
Authorities have not yet released specific details regarding how the crash happened or which driver was at fault. Investigators are working to determine the sequence of events leading up to the fatal collision.
One of the drivers was pronounced dead at the scene, while the other sustained injuries and was transported to a hospital for medical treatment. The extent of those injuries has not been disclosed.
