Breanna Burlington, Alexis Burlington – Kansas City police have identified two women who tragically lost their lives after a crash on Interstate 435 that sent their vehicle into the Blue River last Friday. The driver of the vehicle was 24-year-old Breanna Burlington, while her 21-year-old sister, Alexis Burlington, was the passenger sitting in the back seat. Both women were killed in the accident.

The crash occurred early in the morning, just before 3:30 a.m., as Breanna, Alexis, and another male passenger were traveling west on I-435 near 103rd Street. Investigators revealed that Breanna was driving too fast for the winter conditions at the time, which caused the vehicle to lose control. The car went over a snowbank on the highway and then vaulted off the bridge, plummeting approximately 100 feet into the Blue River below.

The male passenger, who was sitting in the front seat, was severely injured in the crash. He was rushed to the hospital with critical injuries. However, there have been no updates on his condition as of the latest reports.
