The day after the flooding, Benjamin’s son, Timmy Feagin, and Timmy’s wife went to search for him after learning from the RV park owner that Benjamin had not been seen or located. Later, authorities contacted Timmy to inform him that the bodies of two children and one adult male had been found. Timmy and his wife later confirmed that the adult victim was indeed Benjamin Feagin.
The GoFundMe campaign created in Benjamin’s memory states that all donations will go toward funeral and burial expenses for the Feagin family. It also offers insight into the life Benjamin was building in Ruidoso. According to the campaign, he had recently purchased a camper to live in temporarily while his new home was under construction. His son Timmy had also recently bought land nearby with the goal of developing homes so the family could live together on the property.
