Aundre Ewings Obituary, Death – A motorcyclist from Fredericksburg, Virginia, died in a collision on U.S. Route 301 in Charles County, Maryland, on Tuesday evening. The crash occurred around 5 p.m., prompting a response from Maryland State Police (MSP) troopers and Charles County Sheriff’s deputies.
Crash Details
Authorities reported that 29-year-old Aundre Ewings was traveling north on Route 301 on a 2005 Honda CBR-1000 when a 2018 Chrysler 300 attempted to cross the highway from Holly Lane. The Chrysler, driven by 31-year-old Tony Pattillo Jr. of Dale City, Virginia, failed to yield to oncoming traffic and moved directly into Ewings’ path.
As a result, the motorcycle collided with the driver’s side of the Chrysler, forcefully ejecting Ewings from his bike. Emergency responders arrived quickly, but Ewings was pronounced dead at the scene.
Driver Hospitalized; Investigation Ongoing
Pattillo sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to the University of Maryland Charles Regional Hospital for treatment.
The investigation remains active, with officials working to determine whether charges will be filed. The case will be reviewed by the State’s Attorney’s Office for Charles County.
