Arley Morales Obituary, Death news – Early Saturday morning, a tragic accident in Borger resulted in the death of a man after being hit by a car. The Borger Police Department responded to the incident around 2 a.m. on North Harvey Street, near East 6th Street.
Upon arrival, officers found 26-year-old Arley Morales from Amarillo lying in the roadway, having been struck by a vehicle. Emergency personnel were already performing CPR, and they continued their efforts to save Morales. He was quickly transported to Golden Plains Community Hospital, but unfortunately, he did not survive.
Police identified the driver involved in the accident as 23-year-old Alyssa Moneymaker, a resident of Borger. Authorities allege that Moneymaker was driving under the influence when she hit Morales. She was subsequently arrested and charged with intoxication manslaughter. Moneymaker is currently being held at the Hutchinson County Jail.
