The incident occurred around 7 a.m. on Thursday at the Qubed Living Hotel, which is located in the 4600 block of Rittiman Road, on the city’s northeast side. Police responded to reports of the shooting at the hotel. Upon their arrival, they found Ford severely wounded. According to law enforcement, Ford had opened the door to his hotel room, where he was shot. Authorities say that Ford was accompanied by another individual at the time, but this person fled the scene after the shooting occurred.

Ford was immediately transported to a local hospital, but despite medical efforts, he succumbed to his injuries and died in surgery. No arrests had been made in connection with the shooting as of Saturday, and investigators are still working to identify a suspect.

The police have not released further details about the circumstances surrounding the shooting, including any possible motives or a description of the suspect. The investigation remains ongoing, and authorities are urging anyone with information related to the incident to come forward.
