April Hannah Shelton Obituary, Death – A fatal collision occurred in Asheville on Monday morning when a Ford Explorer crashed into the rear of a dump truck on Smokey Park Highway. According to the Asheville Police Department, the incident took place around 6:15 a.m. when the Ford Explorer, traveling eastbound, struck the dump truck from behind.
Both drivers were transported to Mission Hospital following the crash. The driver of the dump truck, whose identity was not revealed, suffered non-life-threatening injuries and received medical attention. Unfortunately, the driver of the Ford Explorer, identified as 46-year-old April Hannah Shelton, succumbed to her injuries at the hospital.
The authorities have initiated an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the accident. At this stage, they have not disclosed further details.
