Antwon Staton Obituary, Death – Authorities have identified the man fatally shot at a Convenience Food Mart in Maple Heights on New Year’s Eve as 31-year-old Antwon Staton. The incident occurred in the parking lot of the store located at 5514 Dunham Road.
According to a news release, police were called to the scene around 6:30 p.m. after reports of two gunshots being fired in the area. Upon arrival, officers found Staton lying in the parking lot, suffering from a gunshot wound. He was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
The circumstances surrounding the shooting remain unclear, and law enforcement officials are actively investigating the case.
