Brian Frost Obituary, Death; Two dead, two injured in multi-vehicle crash.

Brian Frost Obituary, Death – Two people lost their lives in a head-on crash involving three vehicles on U.S. Highway 80 in Louisiana late Thursday night, August 1. According to the Louisiana State Police, the fatal collision happened around 10:40 p.m. near Barbeque Road. Troopers responded to the scene and discovered that the crash involved a 2017 GMC Yukon, a 2024 Kia Forte, and a Dodge Charger.
Initial investigations revealed that the GMC Yukon, driven by 50-year-old Brian Frost of Haughton, was traveling in the wrong direction—heading west in the eastbound lanes of Highway 80. At the same time, 45-year-old Kendrick Fisher, also of Haughton, was driving the Kia Forte eastbound, along with an eastbound Dodge Charger.
For reasons that remain unclear, the Yukon collided head-on with the Kia Forte. The impact caused the Yukon to flip over, and the force of the crash pushed the Kia into the path of the Dodge Charger, resulting in a secondary collision.
Both Frost and Fisher were wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash. Tragically, they both died at the scene due to the severity of their injuries.
There were additional occupants in both the Kia and the Dodge. A passenger in the Kia, who was properly restrained, suffered critical injuries and was rushed to a nearby hospital for urgent medical care. Meanwhile, the driver of the Dodge Charger, who was also wearing a seatbelt, sustained only minor injuries and was transported to the hospital for treatment.
Authorities suspect that impairment may have played a role in the crash on the part of Brian Frost. Toxicology samples were collected at the scene and have been sent for analysis to determine whether drugs or alcohol were a factor.
As of now, the Louisiana State Police continue to investigate the incident to uncover more details about what led to the tragic chain of events. No charges have been filed yet, pending further evidence and toxicology results.
State Police are reminding drivers of the importance of following traffic laws, staying in the correct lanes, and avoiding impaired driving, especially during night hours when visibility is reduced.
This tragic crash has deeply impacted the Haughton community, as both victims were local residents. Authorities have not released further information about the injured passenger in the Kia or the driver of the Charger as the investigation remains ongoing.
Anyone who may have witnessed the crash or has additional information is encouraged to contact Louisiana State Police to assist with the investigation.
