Angela Davis – A third fatality has been confirmed in a tragic crash that occurred over the weekend in Byhalia, Mississippi, stemming from a police chase. Officials reported on Wednesday that Angela Davis, a woman critically injured in the crash, passed away after spending several days at Regional One Health in Memphis.
The accident took place on Saturday night when Byhalia Police were pursuing a suspect in an SUV. The SUV collided with a Ford F150 at the intersection of St. Paul Road and Dockery Drive. The crash resulted in the deaths of the SUV driver, Jaqua Bluiett, and the passenger in the truck, identified as Michael Crutcher.
Two other individuals involved in the crash were also transported to Regional One Health in critical condition, although the condition of the fourth victim remained unknown as of Wednesday morning.
Marshall County Sheriff Kenny Dickerson confirmed the details of the police pursuit but stated that the reason for the chase is still under investigation. A lawyer representing the officer involved in the chase, William Langham, confirmed that Langham has been placed on paid administrative leave as the investigation continues.
