Andree Mosley Jr. Obituary, Death Cause – A 25-year-old man was arrested in the early hours of Saturday, June 14, in connection with a fatal shooting outside a residence in Millsboro, Delaware, according to Delaware State Police. The incident resulted in the death of one man and injuries to two others.
Police reported that Marcus Harris was taken into custody without any resistance at a home located in the 24000 block of Rivers Edge Drive at approximately 2 a.m. When officers arrived on the scene, they discovered 19-year-old Andree’ Mosley Jr., a resident of Ellendale, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Despite emergency efforts by authorities, Mosley was pronounced dead at the scene.
Two additional male victims were found outside the same home, both with gunshot wounds. They were promptly transported to a nearby hospital and are expected to survive, as their injuries were described as non-life-threatening.
Investigators determined that all three victims had been visiting a woman who lived at the residence. The female resident was reportedly acquainted with both Harris and Mosley. Following the shooting, Harris was charged with multiple serious offenses. These include one count of first-degree murder for the death of Mosley, two counts of attempted first-degree murder for the shooting of the other two men, and three counts of possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.
Harris was brought before Justice of the Peace Court 3 for arraignment. The judge set his bail at \$480,000 in cash, and Harris was subsequently turned over to the Delaware Department of Corrections, where he is currently being held.
The Delaware State Police continue to investigate the case to gather more details surrounding the motive and exact events leading up to the deadly altercation. No further suspects are currently being sought, and there is no ongoing threat to public safety stemming from the incident.
Officials are encouraging anyone who may have witnessed the incident or who may have relevant information to assist investigators by contacting Delaware State Police directly or submitting anonymous tips through Crime Stoppers.
