Amy Bosworth Obituary, Death – On Thursday, December 12, Melbourne police responded to a tragic collision involving a bicyclist and a vehicle near Hibiscus Boulevard and Broadband Drive. The crash occurred at approximately 3:12 p.m. and resulted in the death of 55-year-old Amy Bosworth, who was riding her bicycle at the time of the incident.

Upon arrival at the scene, officers found Bosworth with severe injuries. Despite their efforts, she was pronounced dead at the scene due to the extent of her injuries.

According to the initial investigation, the crash involved a red Subaru SUV traveling westbound on Hibiscus Boulevard. Bosworth was also moving west along the sidewalk of the same street. At some point, she turned south and entered the roadway directly into the path of the SUV, which led to the collision.

Authorities stated that neither alcohol nor drugs appeared to play a role in the crash. The Melbourne Police Department is continuing its investigation to determine the full circumstances of the incident.

Police encourage anyone with information about the crash to come forward as they work to conclude their inquiries.
