Allen Szczepek Obituary, Death Cause: 68-year-old named as victim in deadly Beaufort County motorcycle crash

Allen Szczepek Obituary, Death Cause – The Beaufort County Coroner’s Office has released the identity of the man who died in a motorcycle accident that took place on June 12. The victim has been identified as 68-year-old Allen Szczepek, a resident of Beaufort, South Carolina.

According to details provided by the South Carolina Highway Patrol, the fatal crash occurred around 4:33 p.m. on Trask Parkway near the intersection with Glass Road. Szczepek had been riding his motorcycle northbound on U.S. Highway 21 at the time of the accident.

Authorities say that for reasons still under investigation, Szczepek lost control of his motorcycle and veered off the right side of the roadway. As a result, he was thrown from the motorcycle and sustained serious injuries. Emergency responders were called to the scene and transported him to Beaufort Memorial Hospital for treatment.

Despite medical efforts, Szczepek succumbed to his injuries and was later pronounced dead at the hospital. The coroner’s office confirmed that his death was caused by blunt force trauma resulting from the crash.

The incident involved no other vehicles, and officials confirmed that it was a single-vehicle motorcycle collision. The South Carolina Highway Patrol continues to investigate the circumstances that may have contributed to the accident, including whether mechanical issues, road conditions, or a medical event could have played a role.

The accident serves as another reminder of the risks associated with motorcycle travel, particularly in cases where there is little room for error. While helmets and protective gear can reduce the severity of injuries, single-vehicle accidents like this one often have tragic outcomes.

The Beaufort County Coroner’s Office has notified Szczepek’s family, and no further details about the cause of the crash have been made public at this time. Authorities have not indicated whether any additional reports or findings will be released following the conclusion of the investigation.

Szczepek’s death adds to the growing number of fatalities involving motorcycles in South Carolina this year. Law enforcement and highway safety officials continue to urge both motorcycle riders and other motorists to remain alert, follow traffic laws, and take extra precautions to prevent accidents.

Anyone who may have witnessed the crash or has information that could assist with the investigation is encouraged to contact the South Carolina Highway Patrol. As the inquiry remains ongoing, further updates may be provided by the investigating agency.
