Allecia Wolfe Obituary, Death: Florida woman ID’d as body found behind Manchester motel

Allecia Wolfe Obituary, Death – A murder investigation has been launched following the discovery of a Florida woman’s body in a field behind a Manchester, Tennessee motel. The woman has been identified as 40-year-old Allecia Wolfe, also known as Allecia Carnley. Her body was found last Monday behind the Truckers Inn. Wolfe’s family, who lives in Orlando, Florida, is now grappling with the shock and confusion of how she ended up dead in Tennessee, far from home.
Wolfe’s daughter, Aleah Carnley, was in the process of filing a missing person report when authorities came to her home with the devastating news that her mother had died. “I had my son in my arms and just collapsed,” Carnley recalled. She and her grandmother had already suspected that something was wrong due to the lack of communication from Wolfe in recent days.
Investigators told the family that Wolfe showed no visible injuries such as stab or gunshot wounds. However, they are treating her death as a homicide and have launched an active investigation. According to Carnley, Wolfe was last seen by friends on Friday night, just days before her body was found. Witnesses said she had entered a black car in Orlando.
Carnley acknowledged that her mother had struggled with addiction and was involved in street work, but stated that she was not known to frequent truck stops. This adds to the family’s confusion about why Wolfe’s body was discovered near a truck stop along Interstate 24, between Nashville and Chattanooga. The family has no ties to Tennessee, which only deepens the mystery.
District Attorney Craig Northcott confirmed that the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI) and the Manchester Police Department are jointly handling the case. Authorities are working leads and searching for more information to determine what happened to Wolfe.
For Carnley, the most pressing need is closure. “I’m not going to get my mom back,” she said, “but I just want to know what happened to her.”
To help with funeral costs, the family has launched a GoFundMe campaign. They are also pleading with the public for any information that could help solve the case. The hope is that someone who may have seen something or knows something will come forward and help bring justice and peace to the grieving family.
Wolfe’s death has left many unanswered questions, and the investigation remains ongoing. Authorities encourage anyone with information to contact the Manchester Police Department or the TBI.
