Alexander Whalen Obituary, Death News – A tragic wrong-way crash on westbound I-64 near Jefferson early on January 17 resulted in the death of a 29-year-old man, Alexander Whalen. The accident occurred around 1:45 a.m. when a Dodge Ram, driven by a 22-year-old male, was traveling eastbound in the westbound lanes of the interstate for reasons yet to be determined. The Ram collided with a Honda Accord, causing the Accord to strike a third vehicle, a Toyota Camry.
Emergency Medical Services (EMS) arrived at the scene and transported the Dodge Ram driver to the hospital, where he was reported to be in stable condition. Unfortunately, the driver of the Honda Accord, whose identity was not initially disclosed, was pronounced dead at the scene. The 41-year-old driver of the Toyota Camry was not injured in the incident.
