Danh Huynh Obituary, Death- A 56-year-old man was tragically killed after being struck by a vehicle while attempting to cross Fern Valley Road in Louisville. The victim, identified as Danh Huynh, was hit by a car traveling eastbound in the 2900 block of Fern Valley Road around 6 p.m. on Monday. According to the Louisville Metro Police Department (LMPD), the driver involved in the crash remained at the scene and promptly called 911 for help.

Police officials reported that Huynh was wearing dark clothing at the time of the incident, which may have contributed to his being less visible to the driver. Emergency responders arrived at the scene, and Huynh was transported to the University of Louisville Hospital. Despite medical efforts, he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead.

The LMPD’s Traffic Unit has launched an investigation into the incident. According to LMPD spokesperson Ellis, the driver involved in the crash is fully cooperating with the authorities. There is no indication at this time that the driver was at fault or impaired, and the investigation is still ongoing.

This incident marks the sixth pedestrian-related crash on Fern Valley Road this year alone. The area has become a point of concern for local authorities, as the road has seen multiple pedestrian accidents in recent months.
