Michael E. Vincent Obituary, Death: Bradford County man dies in Towanda Township UTV crash, say Pennsylvania State Police.
Michael E. Vincent Obituary, Death – A 42-year-old man from Bradford County died in a utility task vehicle (UTV) crash late Friday night in Towanda Township, Pennsylvania. The victim, Michael E. Vincent, was operating a 2020 Polaris Ranger UTV when the accident occurred just after 11 p.m. on Old Plank Road, west of the intersection with High School Drive.
According to Pennsylvania State Police, Vincent was driving westbound when he lost control of the UTV. The vehicle was traveling too fast for the road conditions, and as Vincent attempted to navigate a curve, the UTV veered off the roadway. It struck several fixed objects along the way, and the vehicle ultimately came to rest in a ditch off the eastbound lane. The UTV sustained significant damage in the crash.
Vincent was not wearing a seatbelt or any other safety gear at the time of the incident, which contributed to the severity of the outcome. He was pronounced dead at the scene by the Bradford County coroner.
State police were assisted by the Towanda and North Towanda Township volunteer fire departments, Towanda Memorial Emergency Medical Services, and the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation. The crash is under investigation, and authorities have not disclosed further details regarding the cause of the incident.
