Marc Salomone Obituary, Death – The victim killed by a Nassau police vehicle on Friday has been identified as 22-year-old Marc Salomone from Wantagh, New York. Salomone, who identified as a transgender female named Morgan, was struck and fatally injured while crossing Wantagh Avenue at Duck Pond Drive North, according to Nassau police.
In response to the incident, the Nassau Police Department’s homicide division has launched an investigation, as is standard procedure whenever a death occurs involving police vehicles. Additionally, the Office of Special Investigation, led by Attorney General Letitia James, is examining the circumstances surrounding Salomone’s death.
Funeral arrangements for Salomone have been finalized. A wake is scheduled for Sunday from 2 to 6 p.m. at the Charles J. O’Shea Funeral Home in Wantagh. The funeral Mass will take place on Monday, December 2, at St. Bernard Roman Catholic Church in Levittown, followed by burial at St. Charles Cemetery in Farmingdale. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made in Morgan’s memory to the church.
