Jesus Sanchez Obituary, Death – A shooting early Sunday morning in Chicago’s Little Village neighborhood resulted in the death of one teen and left another injured. The incident took place around 2 a.m. in the 2600 block of South Avers, where the two teens were standing when gunfire erupted in their direction.
The victim who died was identified as 16-year-old Jesus Sanchez. He was struck multiple times in the abdomen and was rushed to a nearby hospital. Despite efforts to save him, he was pronounced dead at the hospital.
The second teen, a 15-year-old, was also injured in the shooting. He was hit in the back but was taken to the hospital and is reported to be in stable condition.
As of now, no suspects have been identified, and the Chicago Police Department is actively investigating the shooting to determine what led to the attack and to find those responsible. The case remains under investigation, and authorities are seeking information from the public.
